Your legacy can change a child's future

By including The Alexander Foundation in your will, trust or beneficiary designations, you help children and families facing craniofacial challenges for years to come. We will make the process simple and respectful.

Three simple ways

A gift in your will or trust

Leave a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after other gifts are made. See sample language.

A beneficiary designation

Name The Alexander Foundation as a beneficiary of a retirement account, life insurance policy or donor-advised fund.

A non-probate gift

Transfer on Death (TOD) or Payable on Death (POD) designations on bank or investment accounts can be updated without changing your will.

Sample will or trust language

"I give [____%] of my estate to The Alexander Foundation, EIN 03-0534249, presently located at PO Box 584, Grand Blanc, MI 48439, to be used for its general purposes."

Prefer to support a specific program? Email us and we will provide mission-accurate language to honor your intent. More sample clauses are on the bequest page.

Common questions

Can I direct my legacy gift to a specific purpose?
Yes. Many donors support our general fund so we can respond where the need is greatest, but we are happy to work with you on a designation and will provide wording your advisor can use.
Do I need to tell you I have included the foundation in my plans?
It is not required, but we would be honored to thank you and, if you are comfortable, list you among our legacy supporters. Sharing your plans also lets us confirm we can meet any restrictions you have in mind.
What documents will my attorney or advisor need?
Usually our legal name, EIN and address are sufficient. For program restrictions or endowed gifts, contact us and we will collaborate on language before you finalize.
Can I change my beneficiary designations later?
Yes. You can update a will or trust with an amendment, and you can usually update beneficiary designations at any time with your plan administrator or insurer.

Two ways to take the next step

For families

You are not alone in this.

If your child has Cloverleaf Syndrome or another craniofacial condition and the bills are piling up, tell us what is happening. We help where we can, and we will point you to people who can help with the rest.

For supporters

Every dollar reaches a family.

Nobody at the foundation is paid. Apart from minimal supplies and tax filing, every gift goes to families, hospitals, schools and books that change how children treat each other.
